120 MINUTES is a 90s-00s alternative rock cover band based in Sacramento, California. We perform the hard-hitting songs that defined the era, and set ourselves apart through the musicianship, song selection, and energy of our shows.
Our catalog represents a diverse, curated selection of songs from the 90s to early 2000s that range from Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, and Foo Fighters, to QOTSA, Muse, Velvet Revolver. 120 Minutes was founded in 2022. We named ourselves after the weekly alternative rock MTV show that peaked in the 90s (back when MTV actually played music). From the beginning, we have prided ourselves on our focus on musicianship and respect for the music that inspired us. Collectively, we represent over 175 years of musical experience between our 6 members.
We take an active approach to the marketing of our band and the venues where we perform. Our music may be hard-hitting, but our public image is distinctively fun, lighthearted, and sometimes irreverent, while referencing the pop culture of the era.
